2017 Walk & Roll Benefit

Please help us through this important fundraiser!
The 6th Annual Walk and Roll on October 7, 2017 Learn more about this event here!

Contributions are vital to helping us bridge the gap between the funding we receive from Medicaid and school districts and the actual cost of:

  • providing the care, therapy and educational programming,
  • purchasing specialized medical equipment, helping us keep pace with healthcare related technologies,
  • helping create a home-like environment enhancing the children’s quality of life and
  • recruiting and retaining the highest qualified staff by offering competitive wages and benefits

Funding for the children’s care is provided by Medicaid however, the rates we can assess have not changed since 2009. Educational and therapy support for children (age 3-21) is paid by each child’s sending school district and takes into account the child’s needs as detailed in his or her Individualized Education Program (IEP). While the Cedarcrest School program is based on the national Common Core standards, funding for some adaptive communication, therapy equipment and curriculum enhancement is often not funded through the school districts.

We hope you will participate and support the children in our care!
