Cedarcrest Center enriches the lives of children with complex medical and developmental needs, supports their families, and collaborates with other community providers to build a continuum of care. For years, physicians, nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists and special educators have recommended Cedarcrest Center to parents, grandparents and guardians as a valuable option for families of children with special needs. We provide comprehensive long-term or short-term residential care, special education on-site for both residential and day students, and rehabilitation therapies (occupational, physical, and speech/language) on both an inpatient and outpatient basis We understand that for medical and education providers, referring a family member or guardian of a child with special needs can be difficult. We can help a family explore a variety of options and assist them in determining which option best meets their needs at a particular time. We are experienced in working with a variety of referral sources. If you know of a child who may need our services, if you need assistance in determining if our setting might be appropriate for a particular child, or if you simply wish to request an information packet, please contact our social worker, Kristin Targett, MSW. If you have questions about referral and admission, or about specific services we can provide, please contact our director of nursing, Peg Knox, RN. |
